Movie fans are waiting to see Dwayne Johnson bring "Hercules" to life on the big screen, and now they are being giving a look at the action on set. On Tuesday, July 9, Slash Film shared new photos from the set. Check out the photos by visiting the slide show.

Dwayne Johnson has been hard at work with Brett Ratner on the new "Hercules" film by Paramount. Johnson had production pushed back on "Fast & Furious 7" because he was already committed to work on this film over the summer. Production on "Fast 7" is set for this fall now. That film is scheduled for release next summer.



Johnson is teasing his costumes and look in the film in these new photos. He is shown in make-up, and a helmet he wears in the film are shown off. One photo is dedicated to some of the weapons used in the film.

Production has started, and the cast has been added to, according to Variety. Joe Anderson has joined the film. His character is described as follows:

    "Anderson will play a marathon runner who brings Hercules news of enemy Rhesus’ movement before the battle."

Hercules will travel the world as a tormented soul. This will be a darker take on the character than has been seen in previous films and television shows. Kevin Sorbo brought the character to the small screen.

Scottsdale residents will be able to see this film at the Harkins Scottsdale Fashion Square 7 or at another local theater in the area once it is released.
