Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's accession as one of Hollywood's most sought-after action films stars continues after being named to Forbes Magazine Top 100 most powerful celebrities in the world, landing at number 25.

The eight-time World Wrestling Entertainment champion, who finished ahead of Ryan Seacrest, Tom Cruise, Mark Wahlberg, and Donald Trump on the Forbes list, has made a career of rehabilitating Hollywood franchises in need of a boost.

Since leaving World Wrestling Entertainment, Johnson has been in 15 movies that have grossed over $2.3 billion at the global box office.

For over a ten-week stretch in 2013, Johnson had a movie grossing in the Top 10, including Fast & Furious 6 ($500 million in less than two weeks), G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Snitch, and Pain & Gain making over $36 million in the last 12 months.

An injury suffered at Wrestlemania 29, in the main event against John Cena, has not slowed down "The People's Champion", who is currently filming Bret Ratner's Hercules (Johnson plays the lead role). Rumors being circulated in Hollywood circles suggest that not only will Johnson be a part of the new Terminator reboot being produced by Annapurna Pictures (the studio that produced Zero Dark Thirty) but that script is being specifically with Johnson in mind.
